Wade Johnson Corporation was founded in September of 1965 by Wade Johnson, Bob Burney, and
Raymer Sale. Wade and Bob had vast experience in equipment sales and Raymer was
a professional dry cleaner. In those early years, they focused on dry cleaning
equipment but as the years passed and coin operated laundries grew in popularity, their focus began to shift.
In January of 1969, Joe Johnson joined his father in the business. He started at the bottom as an installation helper and learned the business from a hands-on approach.
In the mid-seventies, Wade and Bob bought the shares belonging to Mr. Sale. In the mid-eighties, Wade and Joe bought Mr. Burney’s shares and, in 1995, Joe completed his transaction
to become sole owner of the corporation.
Our focus now is almost entirely on coin and card operated laundromats, but we still maintain
our dry cleaning manufacturers’ ties to assist our existing customer base with any needs they have.
While Wade and Bob owned several laundromats and dry cleaners over the years, Joe Johnson
does not compete with his customers. We do not own any laundromats either
outright or in partnership with anyone.
Our goal is to be the best at what we do and most of our customers will agree
we have achieved our goal. But we are not stopping our efforts to improve!
We offer essentially any needs a laundry owner may need (except for supplies). We offer a well-stocked parts department with the most knowledgeable staff in the industry, a service department
with factory-trained technicians, a friendly office staff to answer your calls (not a cumbersome answering system), and a
sales staff with decades of experience to assist you in analyzing your equipment needs.
Wade Johnson Corporation continues to grow year after year, so we must be doing something
right. Give us a call, become a member of our family, and see what that is.
